Top Features – Greater Values with Less Effort & Complexity

A Different Kind of Modular Remote I/O

Collecting and analyzing field data for enhanced operational efficiency is done best with a data acquisition solution that can handle both field system operations and IT data analytics. Moxa's ioThinx 4510 Series provides everything you would expect from a future-proof remote I/O product. The ioThinx 4510 Series is designed to collect I/O and serial data from field devices, and then convert the data into various Ethernet protocols, some for OT systems and some for IT systems. The product's easy-to-use modular design, smart configuration functions, and device security features make data acquisition easy and straightforward.

Features - Less Effort, More Value

01

No Tool for Installation or Removal

The main mission of ioThinx 4500 Series' design is to address customers' experience when dealing with the excessive installation effort on modular I/Os. Hence, Moxa's team came out with the newly modular design which require no tool to installing or removing. No more cable wiring or mounting,  adding or removing module simply by push-and-click.

02

Auto Reconfiguration Function

There is no reconfiguration effort required when you add or remove a module or even change the module sequence on SCADA systems. The ioThinx 4510 Series also has an intuitive web configuration design and supports the module/channel unique name.

03

Less Complexity With a Built-in Modbus Gateway

The ioThinx 4510 is not just a modular I/O. It also comes with a built-in Modbus gateway for collecting field-site serial data. With the ability to convert between multiple protocols, Moxa’s ioThinx 4510 can convert the collected I/O and serial data to protocols suitable for different upper-level software. For example, cloud service via MQTT, SCADA via Modbus TCP, NMS via SNMP, and more. This two-in-one design reduces system complexity, the amount of space required in the network topology, and overall installation time. You can also connect your legacy devices to Ethernet, thereby increasing the lifetime of the devices since you can continue using the devices’ original protocols.

04

Extend Data Security to the Last Mile

The cybersecurity functionality of Moxa’s ioThinx 4510 covers both device and communication security, and its three-level account design helps you to easily categorize user groups. You can also configure the device via HTTPS to ensure that the information you input cannot be accessed by unauthorized people. In addition, all supported IT protocols (MQTT, RESTful API, SNMP) support data encryption to enforce secure data transmission. For OT protocols, such as Modbus, which are transmitted in plain text, the ioThinx 4510 also supports the Access Control function to ensure that only authorized IPs can access the ioThinx.
